Use your body’s natural healing power
How regenerative medicine works
The foundation of regenerative medicine is based on self-healing. The intention is to work with the systems in the body to promote the natural healing processes and optimize cell regrowth.
Regenerative treatments target the damaged tissue and promote rebuilding in that area of the body. Bone marrow concentrate is injected into the target area using an image-guided technique. These injected cells then work to promote healing and cell regrowth in this area.
Unlike steroid injections or pain medications, which only mask symptoms, stem cell therapy attempts to target the root cause of pain. It is commonly used for arthritis, meniscus injuries, ligament sprains, and tendon damage, offering patients a potential alternative to surgery.
The procedure
Your own cells, placed precisely
01 · Source
Why bone marrow?
Bone marrow is a rich source of mesenchymal stem cells that play a key role in orthopedic healing and tissue regeneration. During a BMAC procedure, Dr. Movva carefully harvests the required amount of bone marrow from the iliac crest (the back of the hip area). The marrow is then processed using a centrifuge to concentrate stem cells, growth factors, and healing proteins.
02 · Precision
Image-guided placement
The concentrate is precisely injected into the injured or arthritic area under image guidance, ultrasound or X-ray, where it begins stimulating the body’s natural repair response. Musculoskeletal ultrasound and fluoroscopy allow real-time visualization of anatomical structures, supporting accurate placement at the source of pain.
03 · Outpatient
Home the same day
Treatments are performed on an outpatient basis with no general anesthesia required. Patients return home the same day, avoiding a hospital stay and the long downtime of surgery.
Benefits
A minimally invasive alternative to orthopedic surgery
Orthopedic stem cell procedures using BMAC may offer several important advantages:
- Minimally invasive: outpatient procedure with no general anesthesia required
- Promotes natural healing: uses your own cells to stimulate repair at the source of pain
- May avoid or delay surgery: may help improve function and reduce pain without joint replacement
- Faster recovery: shorter downtime compared to surgical procedures

Patient reviews
In their words
Wonderful experience! Stem cells therapy along with Dr Movva expertise is amazing and natural substitutions for surgery in lots of situations. I highly recommend to visit and get his input if one is interested to avoid painful surgery!
Great experience with Dr. Movva — office staff fantastic. Had stem cells placed 11 years ago with great results. Returned this week to have 2 joints redone plus added a shoulder.
The stem cell and injections have improved my knees and allowed me to resume normal lifestyle activities I was not able to do without braces prior.

Are regenerative orthopedic treatments safe?
At RegenOrthoSport, patient safety is our highest priority. Many regenerative procedures use your body's own biologic materials, such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or bone marrow-derived cells, which helps reduce the risk of allergic reactions. Every treatment is performed using advanced image guidance to improve precision and safety.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends on your diagnosis, severity of injury, treatment goals, and healing response. Some patients achieve their desired outcome after a single procedure, while others may benefit from a staged treatment plan.
How long before I notice improvement?
Healing is a gradual biological process. Some patients begin noticing improvement within several weeks, while others continue to experience progress over several months as damaged tissues respond to regenerative treatment.
Are there risks or side effects?
Most patients experience only mild soreness, swelling, or stiffness for a few days after treatment. As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks, which your physician will discuss during your consultation along with the expected benefits based on your condition.
How much does stem cell therapy cost?
Cost depends on the area being treated and your individual plan. Dr. Movva confirms whether you are a candidate first; our team then gives you a customized treatment plan and a written quote before anything is scheduled. Stem cell (bone marrow concentrate) procedures start from $5,500, and HCP and PRP procedures start from $1,000; your exact quote follows the complimentary consultation. We want these procedures to be accessible, so there are different ways to pay: an in-house payment plan, and payment plans with no hard credit check through Cherry.
Do you also offer PRP?
Yes. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is prepared from a small blood draw and injected under image guidance. Dr. Movva recommends PRP or bone marrow concentrate based on your diagnosis. About PRP.
Are regenerative treatments proven to work for everyone?
No treatment can guarantee the same outcome for every patient. Success depends on factors such as the severity of the injury, overall health, age, activity level, and the body's natural healing ability. During your consultation, we'll discuss realistic expectations based on your individual condition.
