The practice
Preserve the joint. Restore the movement.
RegenOrthoSport is an independent practice led by Dr. Venkatesh Movva, who is fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. Dr. Movva founded it with a vision of providing personalized, non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine care. The philosophy focuses on thorough evaluation, advanced diagnostics and individualized treatment plans that can include conservative care, regenerative procedures, image-guided treatments and rehabilitation.
Our main treatment is stem cell therapy using your own bone marrow concentrate (BMAC), placed under ultrasound or X-ray guidance in a same-day outpatient procedure. The goal is to preserve joint function, improve mobility and help patients make informed decisions about their care, while considering surgery when clinically appropriate.
We see patients at one office in North Dallas and welcome patients from across Dallas–Fort Worth. RegenOrthoSport is a self-pay practice; monthly payment plans are available through Cherry.

FAQ
About treatment
Straight answers about regenerative orthopedic treatment. Don’t see your question? Call (817) 442-9292.
Ask us your questionAre regenerative orthopedic treatments safe?
At RegenOrthoSport, patient safety is our highest priority. Many regenerative procedures use your body's own biologic materials, such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or bone marrow-derived cells, which helps reduce the risk of allergic reactions. Every treatment is performed using advanced image guidance to improve precision and safety.
Do you also offer PRP?
Yes. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is prepared from a small blood draw and injected under image guidance. Dr. Movva recommends PRP or bone marrow concentrate based on your diagnosis. About PRP.
How do image-guided procedures improve safety?
Ultrasound and fluoroscopic image guidance allow precise placement of regenerative therapies into the damaged tissue or joint. This level of accuracy helps improve treatment precision while minimizing unnecessary trauma to surrounding structures.
Are there risks or side effects?
Most patients experience only mild soreness, swelling, or stiffness for a few days after treatment. As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks, which your physician will discuss during your consultation along with the expected benefits based on your condition.
Can regenerative treatments help me avoid surgery?
Many patients seek regenerative orthopedic care because they want to delay or avoid surgery whenever appropriate. While surgery may still be necessary in some cases, our goal is to explore advanced non-surgical options that may help relieve pain, improve function, and support natural healing before considering surgical intervention.
Why choose regenerative treatment instead of surgery?
For appropriately selected patients, regenerative procedures may offer a minimally invasive alternative that focuses on preserving natural joints and tissues while reducing pain and improving function. A comprehensive evaluation helps determine whether non-surgical treatment is an appropriate option.
Is regenerative orthopedic medicine supported by research?
Research in regenerative orthopedics continues to grow, with many studies evaluating treatments such as PRP and other biologic therapies for certain musculoskeletal conditions. Clinical outcomes vary depending on the condition being treated, patient health, and individual healing response.
Are regenerative treatments proven to work for everyone?
No treatment can guarantee the same outcome for every patient. Success depends on factors such as the severity of the injury, overall health, age, activity level, and the body's natural healing ability. During your consultation, we'll discuss realistic expectations based on your individual condition.
What conditions can regenerative orthopedic treatments help treat?
We commonly evaluate patients with knee arthritis, meniscus tears, ACL injuries, rotator cuff tears, labral injuries, tendon and ligament injuries, chronic back pain, degenerative disc disease, cartilage injuries, and early-stage avascular necrosis (AVN).
What makes RegenOrthoSport different?
Our practice combines decades of clinical experience with advanced image-guided regenerative orthopedic procedures. Every treatment plan is customized to address the underlying cause of pain rather than simply managing symptoms.
FAQ
Recovery & results
What is recovery like after treatment?
Recovery is typically much shorter than traditional orthopedic surgery. All patients go home the same day and gradually resume normal daily activities based on their physician's recommendations and individualized rehabilitation plan.
How long before I notice improvement?
Healing is a gradual biological process. Some patients begin noticing improvement within several weeks, while others continue to experience progress over several months as damaged tissues respond to regenerative treatment.
Will my pain disappear immediately?
Regenerative treatments are designed to stimulate healing rather than simply mask pain. While some patients notice early relief, most improvements occur gradually as damaged tissues repair over time.
Will I need physical therapy after my procedure?
Many patients benefit from a personalized rehabilitation or physical therapy program following treatment. Combining regenerative medicine with guided rehabilitation often supports improved strength, mobility, and long-term recovery.
Can I return to sports or exercise after the treatment?
Return to sports depends on your diagnosis, the procedure performed, and your body's healing response. Our team develops individualized recovery plans designed to help patients safely return to their desired activities as healing progresses.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments depends on your diagnosis, severity of injury, treatment goals, and healing response. Some patients achieve their desired outcome after a single procedure, while others may benefit from a staged treatment plan.
FAQ
Candidacy, cost & visits
What happens during my first consultation?
Your complimentary consultation includes a detailed review of your medical history, previous imaging, physical examination, and discussion of your symptoms and goals. Ultrasound and X-ray are available in our office at the time of your consultation, and both are complimentary. If appropriate, additional diagnostic imaging may be recommended before developing a personalized treatment plan.
Am I a candidate for regenerative orthopedic treatment?
Candidates are typically individuals seeking non-surgical options for joint pain, sports injuries, tendon or ligament damage, or degenerative orthopedic conditions. Your physician will determine whether regenerative treatment is appropriate based on your diagnosis, imaging findings, and overall health.
Who may not be a candidate?
Certain advanced injuries, severe joint damage, active infections, or specific medical conditions may make regenerative treatment less appropriate. Every patient receives a comprehensive evaluation to determine the safest and most effective treatment approach.
Can regenerative treatments help if I've already been told I need surgery?
Some patients who have been advised to undergo surgery may still benefit from a regenerative orthopedic evaluation. Depending on the condition and its severity, advanced non-surgical treatments may be an option to help improve function or potentially delay surgery. However, surgery remains the best treatment for some conditions, and recommendations are made on an individual basis.
Why should I choose RegenOrthoSport for non-surgical orthopedic care?
RegenOrthoSport is dedicated to helping patients explore advanced, minimally invasive orthopedic treatments before considering surgery whenever appropriate. Our fellowship-trained expertise, precision image-guided procedures, and personalized treatment plans are focused on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy.
How much does stem cell therapy cost?
Cost depends on the area being treated and your individual plan. Dr. Movva confirms whether you are a candidate first; our team then gives you a customized treatment plan and a written quote before anything is scheduled. Stem cell (bone marrow concentrate) procedures start from $5,500, and HCP and PRP procedures start from $1,000; your exact quote follows the complimentary consultation. We want these procedures to be accessible, so there are different ways to pay: an in-house payment plan, and payment plans with no hard credit check through Cherry.
Do you accept insurance?
RegenOrthoSport is a self-pay practice, so regenerative procedures are not billed to insurance and are not reimbursable by Medicare. You'll receive a clear quote after your complimentary consultation, before anything is scheduled. There is more than one way to finance treatment: we offer an in-house payment plan, and monthly payment plans are also available through Cherry. Cost & payment plans.
